The questions people actually ask.

Including the ones with awkward answers.

Money and accounts

Do you hold my money?

No. Fexora is charting software. It is not a broker, holds no client funds, is not an exchange member and cannot place an order. Your money stays with your broker exactly as it is now.

Do you see my broker password?

No. You authorise the data connection on your broker's own page. The password is never typed into Fexora and never reaches our servers. You can revoke the connection from your broker's dashboard whenever you like.

What does it cost?

It is free while it is being built and no card is taken. The plan structure is on the pricing page; the numbers are not fixed yet, and a page that prints a number it is about to change is worse than one that says the number is not decided.

Will the free plan stay free?

What it does today stays free for anybody who signed up while it was. Later work may land in a paid plan; what you already have will not be moved behind one.

Markets and brokers

Which brokers work?

Angel One today, on NSE, BSE and MCX. More are being added, and each one is listed only after its feed has been read correctly against live trading — which is slower than putting logos on a page and is the reason every name on the list works. Tell us which broker you use and it moves up.

Do I need a broker at all?

Not for Bitcoin, spot gold, WTI crude or USD/JPY. Those come from our own market data feed and need nothing but an account. You need a broker for the Indian exchanges, because that is where the order book comes from.

Is BSE covered as well as NSE?

Yes. The instrument catalogue carries NSE and BSE equity, NSE and BSE derivatives, MCX, NCDEX and the currency segment, and the search keeps both listings of a company that trades on both rather than quietly dropping one.

Does the MCX evening work?

Yes, 09:00 to 23:30, recorded and archived. This is worth asking of any platform you try: a tool built on NSE's hours stops asking for candles at 15:30 and never comes back for the rest of the day.

The footprint itself

Is the buy and sell split exact?

No, and no platform's is on an Indian retail feed. The side of a trade is not carried by the feed at all — it is inferred by comparing the traded price against the order book, which is right roughly three quarters of the time and less often in a fast market. What is different here is that we say so, and print on every bar how much of it could be placed and sided. Read the longer explanation.

What is the "placed" percentage?

When several trades arrive in one update of the feed, only one price is reported. The rest is real volume with no level to put it at. We count that as unplaced rather than spreading it across the bar, and show the share. A high number means the bar is close to the truth; a low one means the shape is real but the split underneath it is thin evidence.

Why is there no footprint on Bitcoin or gold?

Because that feed sends candles and not the order book, and without a book a trade cannot be given a side at all. A footprint drawn on it would be invented end to end. Platforms do draw one; we do not.

How far back does the recording go?

Volume at price is recorded from the moment your instrument is being watched, kept to the minute, written to disk and carried across a restart. It is not reconstructed from candles, because it cannot be: a candle does not contain the volume at each price inside it. So a footprint exists from when recording started and not before.

Using it

Is there anything to install?

No. It runs in a browser tab, and your layouts are kept with your account rather than in a folder on one machine.

Does it work on a phone?

The site does. The chart is built for a real screen — a footprint is dozens of numbers in a column, and there is no honest way to put that on a phone and still have it be readable.

Something looks wrong on a chart. What helps you fix it?

The instrument, the timeframe and the clock time. Order-flow faults are almost always specific to one instrument at one moment, and "GOLDM, 5-minute, about 20:15" is worth more than a screenshot on its own. Both together is best. Send it here.

Ask it. The awkward ones get answered too.
